In the shelter’s words · excerpt
I'm a female umbrella cockatoo in my 20s that Mickaboo has named Edelweiss. My mom wanted to take good care of me and wanted me to be happy, but she never gave me a name. Edelweiss is a white flower that symbolizes love. Now I even have my own song in The Sound of Music! My mom had to move to assisted living and couldn't take me with her, so Mickaboo took me in. I'm friendly and well socialized.
