In the shelter’s words · excerpt

Meet Violet. Violet was found as an 8-week-old pigeon incredibly lucky to be alive.During morning rush-hour traffic on a very busy street, Violet was lying helplessly in the gravel on the side of the road after being struck by a car. Her rescuer happened to be stopped briefly in the heavy traffic and, by chance, looked over at exactly the right moment.
