Hero is a 1-year-old, 6 lb Chihuahua who may be small in stature but has a hero's journey of epic proportions. She is a survivor of a mass hoarding case where over 40 tiny, but tenacious, dogs were abandoned throughout two counties in northern NJ. These resilient pint-sized pups were thrown from a vehicle into the cold winter woods alone; some trapped in cages, some left wandering. Some did not make it.
