I am a beautiful girl and I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I have heartworms, and I am being treated. OCAS can tell you more about my treatment if you are interested in me! In North Carolina, it's unfortunately common to see many dogs that are infected with heartworms (they are transmitted by mosquito bites).
