Sassafras Starlene w/Sugar Plum

In the shelter’s words · excerpt

Sassafras Starlene is a young racing pigeon (five months old) who was caught by a hawk and badly injured. She was torn open from the start of her throat almost to the end of her keel and yet, amazingly, was still able to get away and then, even more amazingly, live long enough to be rescued alive and rushed into Palomacy's network for avian vet care (lots of stitches) and fostering.
