In the shelter’s words · excerpt

Cookie is a sweet, sensitive girl who is slowly learning that people can be trusted. She has made wonderful progress in her foster home, and while she still spends much of her time tucked away in her favorite closet, she has recently started venturing into the living room to quietly sit near her foster mom while she reads. Once you approach her on her terms, Cookie is wonderfully affectionate.
