In the shelter’s words · excerpt

Unfortunately, one of Scout's humans passed and the need has occurred to rehome. Scout is a loving, quirky guy. This sweet pup has been through more than most, and it’s shaped him into a sensitive, thoughtful dog who feels things deeply. Because of his past, he can be anxious in new situations and needs a little time to feel safe. But once he knows he’s okay—once trust is built—his true heart shines.
