Update 9/14: Mercury has been added to our Call to Action List due to high levels of arousal and stress that has resulted in incidents such as biting and tugging the leash, jumping toward handlers’ faces during high arousal, and redirection toward the handler during over-arousal/aggression toward dogs. At times, staff/volunteers have had difficulty safely leashing, moving, or returning her to her kennel.
