In the shelter’s words
This handsome 2-year-old hound mix is the perfect blend of sweet and soulful, weighing in at about 45 pounds of pure love. Elliot can be a little shy when you first meet him—especially around men, but give him a little time and patience, and you’ll see his true personality shine. Once he trusts you, he’ll be your most loyal best friend, always by your side and ready for love. Elliot’s favorite things? Chasing tennis balls like a pro, playing with his doggie friends, and snuggling up for cozy cuddle sessions. He’s also a smart cookie who is very treat-motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. Bonus: he’s already housebroken, so he’s ready to settle right into his forever home! Elliot is looking for a kind, patient family who will help him continue to build confidence and show him just how good life can be. In return, he’ll give you endless love, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags.

We will conduct an interview with you to discuss your potential pet. During the interview, we will talk about the demands of being a pet owner and what unique needs your specific dog or cat will require. At that point, if your application is approved, you may either bring your pet home the same day or make an appointment to do so. We want to be sure that each of our pets are succeeding in their new home! A follow up phone call will come about one month after your adoption to make sure your new pet has adjusted to its new family. More info here: http://www.faithfulfriends.us/adoption-process
