Your search. Your space.
Your compact-intro preference, saved and compared pet IDs, named searches, meeting-plan progress, and your notes stay in this browser’s local storage. They are not synced between devices. An optional personal backup lets you transfer IDs and preferences yourself; notes are excluded unless you select them. Imports are read locally and never overwrite shelter facts. Browsing the public catalog requires no email address, application, payment or account. The private owner report uses ChatGPT-provided account identity to restrict access; this identity is not added to visitor statistics. Downloaded meeting notes include the text you enter; keep sensitive personal details out of shared copies.
Location is requested only when you press the location button. Device coordinates are used in this browser to choose the nearest suggested city, then discarded. Searches and shared links use that city’s center, not your exact device location. A manually chosen map area can also appear in the shared link. Search requests send the selected coordinates to Goodmorph’s server to filter its catalog. Search responses use our stored catalog. Visits may trigger a server-side refresh of due configured feeds; no visitor search or location is sent to those feeds. Saved and followed IDs remain on this browser. Following checks verified status changes when you open Good Endings; it does not send emails or background alerts.
The Streets map loads only the area you are viewing from OpenStreetMap’s tile service. That service receives your IP address, the Goodmorph site origin and tile coordinates for the displayed map area; it does not receive your pet filters or exact device location. The OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy (https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy) applies to those requests. Tiles use normal browser caching and are not downloaded for offline use. You can select Overview for a map served by Goodmorph using public-domain Natural Earth and US Census boundaries. Goodmorph does not sell visitor data, sell behavioral advertisements, or enroll visitors in marketing lists. Live RescueGroups detail pages include the provider’s required adoption-tracking image, which reports pet-page exposure to the provider. Photos from supported RescueGroups.org photo hosts and our Montgomery County, King County, San José and Sonoma County feeds are fetched and stored by Goodmorph, then delivered through Bunny.net’s CDN. Bunny receives your IP address, the requested image path and the Goodmorph site origin; loading these copies does not send your IP to the original photo host. If CDN delivery fails, the browser retries the photo directly from Goodmorph. Bunny.net’s privacy policy (https://bunny.net/privacy/) applies to CDN requests. Other connected providers may still serve photos or required tracking images directly, and their hosts receive the normal request. Original shelter links take you to sites with their own privacy policies. Goodmorph does not record your search history. First-party page-open counts store a UTC calendar day and a broad incoming-referrer category (Google, Bing, Reddit, another search engine, another website, within Goodmorph, or no referrer). The referrer is categorized in your browser; its URL is not sent. We do not store a page path or query in these counts. Reloads can count again; these are not unique visitors or proof of organic search traffic. Private owner and contributor pages are excluded. First-party action counts record a UTC calendar day, connected source or directory shelter, and action type when you follow a shelter link, open sharing tools, open a kennel-card print dialog, or open a card link. No animal ID, visitor identifier, search text, notes or precise location is stored in these aggregates. They are kept for up to 90 days and removed on the next recorded action after expiry. They do not prove a completed share, printed card, verified QR scan or adoption, and cannot count unique visitors. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control suppress these optional events. The Help one animal page remembers copied animal IDs and the time of copying on this browser for seven days to avoid repeated suggestions; that history is not sent to the server. The private owner report uses ChatGPT sign-in and is not available to other visitors. To limit abuse, the server briefly processes the connection IP into a secret-keyed bucket that changes every minute; only the bucket number, minute and request count are stored, not the IP. Different visitors can share a bucket. Operational error logs contain route categories and status codes, not search queries, tokens or meeting notes. The hosting provider may maintain its own operational access logs. Hosting access is managed by ChatGPT Sites. Original listing sites have their own privacy policies.
