Fresh from the cornfield and ready to butter you up with love, Cornelia Kernelton is popping into hearts everywhere! Meet Cornelia Kernelton — a 5 year old sweetheart who was found wandering through a cornfield all on her own. She came to us already spayed, and after her stray hold passed with no one coming forward, she’s more than ready to pop into her next home and start her new life.Cornelia is incredibly affectionate — the second you open her kennel, she’s climbing right into your arms for pets and attention. She’s a total lovebug who knows exactly what she wants, and what she wants is you.While she’s been here, she has given a few little hisses toward other cats, but with time, patience, and a calmer environment, that may very well change. Right now, she’s hoping for a loving home where she can soak up all the affection she’s been craving. She’s also great with kids, making her a wonderful fit for a family looking for a sweet, snuggly companion.If you’re searching for a cat who will adore you from day one, Cornelia Kernelton is ready to meet you.Cornelia's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption.Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Plan a visit with the source organization
Once you’re ready to adopt, head over to our Adoption Application to fill out and submit the form. Once our Adoption Team has reviewed and approved your application, we will give you a call to schedule an appointment with the pet! When you arrive at ACSKC, you will be greeted by our Adoption Coordinator and taken to meet the pet, either in our Meet and Greet Room or one of the play yards. If you already have pets in the home, you may be asked to bring them with you for a meet and greet to ensure they will get along in the home (this typically only applies to dogs). If you and our Adoption Coordinator feel like it is a good match, we will then finalize the paperwork and send you home with a bag of goodies, including our “Welcoming Your New Pet Home Guide,” toys, treats and a sample bag of their pet food. If it is not a good match, you are welcome to meet the other available pets in the shelter. Your approved application will be kept on file for 90 days, so you’re encouraged to take your time before making a decision!
