In the shelter’s words

Meet Cassidy – A Loyal and Happy Lab/Collie/Shepherd Mix! DOB: 10/3/2022 | Weight: 76 pounds | Female Cassidy is a stunning Lab/Collie/Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. At 3 years old, she’s in the prime of her life—healthy, energetic, and full of love to give. Cassidy is known for her loyal spirit and happy demeanor. She absolutely adores her people, and with her affectionate nature, she’ll make a wonderful companion for an active and dedicated family. Breed Info: A mix of Labrador Retriever, Collie, and Shepherd, Cassidy combines intelligence, energy, and devotion. These breeds are known for their trainability and loyalty, but also for needing structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. Cassidy is a great candidate for agility work, hiking adventures, or simply being your best buddy in life. Special Notes: Cassidy is a spirited girl who loves to explore! She does have a talent for jumping fences, so she will require a home with a very secure, tall fence (or someone committed to leash walks and supervised play). She is currently enrolled in a basic training course and making wonderful progress. Continued training will be key to helping her thrive and channel her energy in positive ways. ‍‍ Owner Responsibilities: Cassidy’s new family will need to: Provide daily exercise and playtime. Continue with her training to reinforce good manners. Ensure a secure environment to keep her safe. Offer patience, structure, and plenty of love. ⚖️ Things to Consider: Cassidy is best suited for an active household that can keep up with her energy. Landlords and property owners should be checked if you rent, as breed restrictions sometimes apply. Families should be prepared for her enthusiasm—she may not be best for homes with toddlers, but will love older children. The 3-3-3 Rule: Remember the adjustment period: 3 days to decompress. 3 weeks to learn your routine. 3 months to fully feel at home. Vet Care: Once adopted, getting Cassidy to your vet is important for a checkup and to establish ongoing care. ❤️ Why Cassidy Will Be a Great Addition: Cassidy isn’t just looking for a home—she’s looking for her forever partner. She has all the qualities of a best friend: loyal, protective, playful, and loving. With her happy spirit and willingness to learn, she’ll bring joy and companionship to the right home. She will thrive with someone who sees her spirited energy not as a challenge but as part of her charm. Cassidy is ready to love and be loved—could she be the one for you?
