He just celebrated a birthday, and we'd love nothing more than to help him find his very own family and forever home. But first, let's talk about what makes Roscoe's next home especially important. The Right Home Matters — Training Is a Must! Roscoe requires a Doberman-experienced adopter who is comfortable handling a trained dog and committed to continuing his training. Roscoe has spent several months working with a professional trainer and has made wonderful progress. However, his training journey is not finished. His future person must be willing to: Continue working with him on stimulus reactivity during walks. Help him build confidence in unfamiliar situations and around outside distractions. Continue reinforcing his obedience and training skills. Build a strong, trusting bond with him as his handler. Provide consistent structure, patience, and positive reinforcement. Roscoe needs someone who understands that training isn't just something you do once—it's an ongoing commitment. His progress depends on having a handler who will keep showing up for him. The Roscoe Rundown There's plenty to love about this boy! Velcro Dog Extraordinaire: Wherever you are, that's where Roscoe wants to be. Couch time? He's there. Kitchen duty? He's supervising! People Lover: He enjoys people of all ages and has been a rockstar at adoption events. Kitty's Best Friend: He absolutely loves his feline friends! He's also done well with ducks and female dogs. Dog Compatibility: Roscoe needs a home with no other male dogs. He prefers calm, easygoing canine companions rather than overly energetic ones. Smart Cookie: He knows basic and advanced commands, is treadmill trained, crate trained, and potty trained. Training Tools: He's familiar with an e-collar and is muzzle trained. He walks well on a head halter. Roscoe's Favorite Things His Ball: Fetch is fun, but rolling around in the grass with his prized possession might be even better!
