In the shelter’s words

Meet Ash, a truly mellow and affectionate young cat seeking a quiet, loving home where he can truly shine! Ash is a shy boy, but beneath that gentle demeanor beats a heart full of purrs and affection. While he hasn't been around children, Ash's calm and laid-back personality suggests he'd likely be quite content in a home with kids who understand and respect his gentle nature. His absolute favorite thing in the world is getting lots and lots of pets. He might not be a "lap cat" just yet, but he loves to be close, happily settling beside you for endless strokes and head scratches. Ash may be quiet, but he's not entirely silent! He'll keep you updated on his feelings with frequent, adorable little meows throughout the day – consider him your personal, very cute, daily reporter! He enjoys his food but often prefers to enjoy his meal quietly while still receiving your gentle touch. When it comes to playtime, Ash isn't a high-energy kitten, but he absolutely adores string toys! A simple string gets him engaged and, every now and then, he'll enjoy a good playful chase. If you're looking for a sweet, shy, and incredibly affectionate companion who thrives on gentle attention and quiet company, Ash is waiting to fill your home with soft purrs and loving presence. Could you be the patient and adoring family Ash has been dreaming of? Ace is from an owner surrender. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
