In the shelter’s words
Meet Prince! Prince is a handsome, sweet-natured boy with three legs and a heart overflowing with love! He came to us as a stray with a severely injured hind leg that unfortunately couldn't be saved. But Prince has recovered beautifully from his amputation and is getting around remarkably well on three legs! And what an absolute LOVE BUG this boy is! Prince can be a little shy at first, but take a seat and spend some quiet time with him, and he absolutely MELTS! He'll crawl up next to you, rubbing his cheeks and chin against your hand and leaning into every pet. Once he feels comfortable, there's no mistaking what an incredibly loving and affectionate boy he is.Prince would likely appreciate a quieter home with someone who will give him a little time to settle in and feel comfortable. In return, they'll discover a wonderfully devoted companion who has so much love to give. This special boy has been through a lot, and we can't wait for him to find a wonderful home where he'll be cherished and spoiled for the rest of his life!

Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
