In the shelter’s words
Clarence is the cutest kid!! Although he doesn't love being picked up a lot, he does enjoy gentle pets, will sometimes request lap-time, and will even ask for a belly rub! Clarence was born with a short palate, which cannot be fixed with surgery, and causes him to sneeze frequently. Sneezing doesn't always indicate illness, but he does need to be monitored for upper respiratory infections. Such a sweetie!! Plan a visit with the source organization
We have an application that must be filled out including a vet reference and non-relative references. A 24 hour hold on the application allows the ARC volunteer to call references and follow up with any questions for the potential adopter. A home visit may be scheduled at this point. If the person is approved, they must sign a contract. An adoption fee is required, however this may be waived in special circumstances. If for any reason in the future they can no longer take care of the pet, the animal must be returned to ARC.
Confirm availability, fees and the meeting address before traveling.
