In the shelter’s words
DOB: 10/3/2023 Sandy is a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely loves attention. If you walk into the room, she’ll be the first to greet you with a hopeful gaze and maybe a little meow, just to remind you she’s there and ready for pets. She thrives on love and connection—head scratches, chin rubs, or just being near her favorite humans. Sandy has a warm, easygoing nature that makes her a joy to be around. Whether you're looking for a lap companion or a chatty shadow to follow you from room to room, Sandy’s your girl. If you’re ready to be adored by a cat who gives just as much love as she gets, come meet Sandy. She’s waiting with purrs at the ready! Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**

We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $125 for kittens 6 months and younger; $75 for kittens over 6 months and adults up to 7 years; $50 for 7 years and older. If adopting 2 kittens/cats at the same time there is a $25 discount. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), microchip, flea prevention, vaccinations (FVRCP for cats and DHLPP for dogs), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies are old enough to receive a rabies vaccine). If not, the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done.
