In the shelter’s words
Hi, I’m Bandit — a 10‑year‑old Boston Terrier boxer mix boy with a curious spirit, a gentle heart, and 38 pounds of sturdy, lovable charm. My perfect day starts with a slow stroll around the yard where I can check on the cows and horses. I take my little patrols seriously, but I’m a pretty chill guy overall. I love to wander, sniff the breeze, and enjoy the sunshine without any rush. I’m a great listener and I always come when called. I’m also house trained, crate trained, and I ride well in the car. I don’t get too excited about toys, but give me a good bone and I’m set. What I really adore is attention — belly rubs, gentle pets, someone who enjoys my calm company. I’d be a wonderful match for a senior looking for a steady, affectionate companion. I do well with other dogs, but I’m happiest with a submissive doggy friend who doesn’t mind my easygoing pace. If you’re looking for a mellow, loyal buddy who enjoys simple pleasures and quiet moments, I’d love to meet you. My adoption fee is $100, but if you’re a senior yourself (+65), then my fee is waived. We are always looking for good foster homes. These homes allow us to rescue more Boston Terriers in need because we have a place for them to go until they are adopted. Please consider becoming a foster home for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas. You can fill out a foster application at Foster Application | Boston Terrier Rescue Of North Texas . This will allow you to possibly become a foster home for one of our little Boston Terriers in need. Thank you for considering the possibility of fostering for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas! Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts!

All potential adopters must fill out an application. The applicant must give a vet reference and a personal reference. Both of these references will be checked. All current pets of a potential adopter must be current on shots, spay/neuter and current on heartworm prevention. Once approved we then conduct a home visit to ensure it is a good placement for one of our dogs. All potential adopters must have a fenced yard or have arrangements for walking the dog regularily.
