Ruby is a 5-year-old female Treeing Walker Coonhound who must be spayed before adoption. She was surrendered by her owner, who could no longer care for her. Ruby has the classic tricolor coat of a TWC—white, black, and brown—and weighs 46 pounds, making her a large dog. She is naturally shy and calm, but once she realizes you are trustworthy, she becomes affectionate, confident, and a velcro companion who loves to be near you. Ruby will quickly bond with a caring owner and form a strong attachment to her new family. She is scent-driven and will require regular exercise, and she is good with children and other dogs. If you are looking for a loving, active, and intelligent dog that thrives on companionship and outdoor activities, Ruby would be an excellent fit. She will flourish in a home with an active owner who can provide both exercise and training, and she is sure to become a devoted family companion when given the right care and environment.
