In the shelter’s words

First, let me introduce myself properly. I’m Miranda: a petite Arabian Mau with a beautiful caliby coat and pale green eyes. I’ve had a bit of an adventure getting here. I was abandoned by my owner in Kuwait, but apparently I didn’t get the memo that I was supposed to disappear. I kept going back to the apartment looking for food until someone found me starving—and with teeth so terrible that every single one of them eventually had to be removed. Then I came all the way to the United States. I’ll admit, that part was scary. I was terrified when I was living in a cage. But then I went to my foster home, and something amazing happened. Within minutes, I was exploring and purring very loudly. It turns out I’m not a shy girl at all. I LOVE people. I want attention. I want affection. And if you happen to have a toy nearby, I would like to play with that too. I will play with every toy you give me. But there is one thing I don’t like: Being alone. I really, really don’t like being alone. I get along with most other cats, but I really prefer the company of humans. I really want a person of my own. I get a little jealous when other cats are getting attention, so my ideal home would have more than one person if there are other cats.. I also have a special talent: I taught myself how to say “hello,” which really startled my foster mom and my pet sitter. I’m considering trying to learn a new word to use with my human friends. I’ve already been through a lot. What I’d really like now is pretty simple: a safe home and people who love me. After everything I’ve been through, I think I’ve earned my happily-ever-after. And I promise to repay you with loud purrs and lots of snuggles. Love, Miranda Adoption fee $200, includes: first 2 FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea preventatives, sterilized, microchip
