In the shelter’s words
COURTESY LISTING - Please contact person below with inquiries. ~5 years old. TBD if good with kids, dogs and cats. Zander Monroe Sylva, NC karma06monroe@gmail.com 850-861-3625 Date Posted: 02/03/25 Luna is a 5 year old German Shepherd who needs an experienced home. She has fear reactivity issues with dogs, and doesn't trust people easily. She takes w while to warm up, and will snap at hands if someone reaches to pet her too soon. She's not an aggressive dog, she's just scared. Once she warms up to you and trusts you she wants to always be by your side. She loves to play fetch, and even more so when it's in water. She loves to hike and go for car rides, she would make an amazing dock diving dog. She also loves to train and learn new things. She's a dog that doesn't give up easily, she'll try and try at something until she gets it right. She would love an active home that's always down for an adventure, and someone that understands her needs and will give her the time she needs! PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.

Plan a visit with the source organization
We require an application to be filled out on our website - http://gsdrescue.org/index.html After the application is submitted a Vet Check, Phone Interview, and Home Visit are required to receive approval for adoption. Once approval is granted then the applicant and a GSD match is made then a trial will take place (usually 1 week). The adoption fee is $300 and an adoption contract is required at the time of the trial.
