Meet Duck – The Waddling Wonder with a Whole Lot of Heart! This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/Duck might not actually waddle, but with a name like his, we’re leaning into the puns—and trust us, this guy is too good not to show off.Currently thriving in a foster home with a professional trainer, Duck is soaking up all the good stuff: structure, skills, and confidence. He’s crate-trained, housebroken, and already knows the basics. More than that, he wants to learn—he’s eager to please, ridiculously smart, and bonds deeply with his people.Duck would love an adult-only home with someone who appreciates a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts goofy and devoted. While he’s selective about his canine companions, he can potentially live with another dog—with slow, thoughtful introductions and a vibe check to make sure everyone’s on the same page. The best part? His trainer is happy to provide post-adoption support to help everyone get off on the right paw.If you’ve been looking for a one-of-a-kind pup to share your home, your couch, and maybe your snacks… Duck is your guy.Apply to foster or adopt through Perfectly Imperfect Pups today. Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions. The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption. Adoption fees are $325 for adults and $375 for puppies. All dogs will be up to date on age appropriate vaccines and spayed / neutered if old enough. If not old enough adopters can come back to our vet to have it covered in fee. It must be done by the time the dog is 6 months old.
