In the shelter’s words

A FRIENDLY & FUN GIRL: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 34 lbs. Hi, I'm Taryn! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the nice volunteers, who spend time with and take great care of me. I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot! Now I hear that I’m ready to find a wonderful family of my very own—where I can love and be loved furever! I am in a wonderful foster home now, just waiting for my furever family to find me—maybe it's you! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I'd like to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I met two nice boys around 6 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, so a home with kids ages 10 and up could be a good fit for me—and kids should not hug me (as I don’t like to feel restrained). Let's meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm described as a friendly, active, happy, and fun dog. I love nothing more than I love people! I was very sweet and handled my bath, and nail trim well. I am a bit vocal when I see other dogs or people and fast movements or loud noises may startle me, but I recover quickly. My foster says that I am not a jumper and that I am a calm, quiet girl who is a "true companion dog for home." That sounds very nice to me. / Energy level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience so I've learned the ' sit', 'stay', 'down', ' come', 'drop it', ' leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / My crate manners have been good at the shelter and in my foster home and I'm quiet in there. In the prison/foster training program, I didn't need a crate and enjoyed sleeping outside of it. / My potty habits were good in the off-site training program I was in and in my foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too! • LIKES/DISLIKES: Spending time with the volunteers is my favorite thing, and I'll gladly soak up all the attention, pets, kisses, and affection you have to give. I also like playing with toys and going for lots of car rides, where I love to stick my nose out the window and feel the breeze. I love going on hikes with the wonderful volunteers—they become my own little "sniffari," where I can explore all the exciting sights and smells along the way! One day, we went to the beach and just watched the boats—how wonderful! Now I love following my foster around and just being together! / Other than being restrained for my vetting, and being a little finicky about my kibble, I'm sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I wasn't a fan of being restrained during vetting, so a muzzle may be helpful during my vetting. I'm a fun-loving gal looking for a wonderful family for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. Thank you for your patience and support! You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals.
