In the shelter’s words
A Playful Spirit with a Heart of Gold! Don’t let a few hip issues fool you, Caliente is every bit the active, silly, and sweet puppy she was born to be! She has a zest for life that is truly contagious and hasn't let anything slow her down. Personality Plus: She is a total goofball! Whether she’s being silly during playtime or showering you with sweet puppy kisses, she is a constant source of joy. High Energy: She has tons of energy and loves to stay busy. She’s looking for a family that can keep up with her playful antics and provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation. A Training Star: The hard work is already done! She is both crate and potty-trained, making her transition into your home that much smoother. If you’re looking for a resilient, loving companion who lives life to the fullest, Caliente is ready to meet you! This sweet girl will need bilateral FHO (hip) procedures—one side will be performed first, and after about three months, the second . She will need a foster-to-adopt home . Caliente was an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
