In the shelter’s words
ABOUT IRIS Meet Iris — a handsome black male cat with a bold spirit and an explorer’s heart. Iris is blind, but don’t let that fool you. He navigates his world with remarkable confidence, using his keen senses of sound and touch to map out every inch of his surroundings. PERSONALITY Iris is a curious, adventurous soul who loves nothing more than a good hunt. Toss him a toy and watch him come alive — he’s an enthusiastic, energetic player who loves to stalk, pounce, and catch on his own terms. When he’s not playing, you’ll find him exploring every nook and corner of his space with quiet determination. DIETARY NEEDS Iris is currently on a prescription diet to support his digestive health. His adopter will need to continue feeding him his prescription food and should consult with a vet to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing care. BEST HOME FOR IRIS Iris is shy around people and can be skittish when it comes to hands, so he does best in a calm, patient household where he’s given space to warm up at his own pace. He doesn’t need constant interaction — he’s perfectly happy entertaining himself with toys. The ideal adopter will let Iris set the pace, offer plenty of enrichment, and give him a safe space to roam and explore freely. Interested in adopting Iris?
