In the shelter’s words

Meet Nutmeg!Location: Brook Park, OHDOB: 5/16/24Nutmeg is a sweet, joyful girl who has been through more than her young age should require, yet somehow, she has never lost her love for life. After recovering from a leg injury and completing heartworm treatment, Nutmeg is ready to put her difficult past behind her and find the forever family she has always deserved.Nutmeg is the kind of dog who has never met a stranger. She greets new people with a wagging tail, warm kisses, and an abundance of affection. Her favorite place is right beside her person, happily lounging at your feet while soaking up every bit of attention she can get. She is a devoted companion with a heart full of love and a personality that can brighten even the toughest day.Nutmeg enjoys daily walks, playtime in the yard, and getting little bursts of energy out throughout the day. She is housebroken, crate-trained, and does very well in her crate. She also rides well in the car once she is loaded up.One of Nutmeg's adorable quirks is her love of toys. She is a self-proclaimed toy collector who enjoys gathering her favorites and keeping them close. Because of this, her forever family will need to be thoughtful about toy management, particularly around other dogs. When it comes to other pets, Nutmeg's favorite species is definitely human. She can live with other dogs and currently does well with a larger female Great Dane. She also came into the shelter with a male dog. However, she can be selective about her canine friends, so introductions and compatibility will be important. She would be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home or with a gentle, compatible companion.Nutmeg has also done wonderfully with children and absolutely loves giving kisses. After everything she has overcome, Nutmeg deserves a family who will cherish her, keep her safe, and appreciate the incredible amount of love she has to give. She is ready for a fresh start and a forever home where she can finally be someone's beloved girl.Could Nutmeg be the missing piece in your family? To learn more about Nutmeg, adoption, transport options, or ways to support her, visit: https://linktr.ee/SrgdrrIf donating specifically for Nutmeg, please note her name with your donation.===============================================================================To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .Note: SRGDRR adopts nationwide and offers transport options to help you find your perfect match!
