In the shelter’s words
Hi! I’m Catherine! I’m a 3 year old good girl and I get really excited at meal time. So excited that I give the cutest yips when my food is being prepared. Food aside, I love a good game of chase outside in the yard with the other dogs in my home. After some fun I enjoy a little snuggle time with my people. I don’t mind when my foster family leaves the house. They just toss some treats and a chew toy in my crate and I can keep myself occupied. Are you looking to add a pretty girl who loves snacks to your home? Hit me up!

Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
