Meet Rubeus Hagrid: Keeper of the Tennis Balls and Future King of Your Castle!This 6-year-old Shepherd didn't arrive at the shelter looking his best. He had significant fur loss and needed medicated baths, but thanks to the dedication of staff and volunteers, Rubeus has made wonderful progress and settled into shelter life. Now it's time for his next chapter: a real home!What's his love language? FETCH. Toss a tennis ball and you'll have his undivided attention! Rubeus can be a little overexcited leaving his lonely kennel, but once he's gotten his wiggles out, he settles into a nice energy. We believe he may be house-trained, too! He's not looking to join a canine social club and may prefer being your one and only. He's done better with female dogs, but thoughtful introductions are important.He can be reactive on leash, though he responds well to correction and may improve with consistent handlingRubeus has already overcome a lot. Now he deserves a soft place to land, a family to call his own, and someone willing to keep those tennis balls flying.His kingdom is waiting. Could you be his happily-ever-after?To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
