In the shelter’s words
Mac is not your average pup—he's a one-year-old blend of brains and energy, with the strength and smarts of a German Shepherd and the playful spirit of a Black Lab. With his sleek black coat, alert ears, and a wagging tail that never quits, Mac is full of life and ready for almost anything.Mac is up and ready to go from the moment the sun rises. Whether it’s chasing a ball through the yard, exploring a wooded trail, or hopping into the nearest creek, this boy lives for adventure. His favorite days are the ones that end with muddy paws and wet fur—he loves the water. Before you can blink, lakes, rivers, even the backyard sprinkler—Mac’s in it.Mac isn’t just high-energy; he’s got a heart of gold. He bonds quickly with people and especially shines around older children who can keep up with his fun-loving nature. He’s the dog who will race alongside your bike, curl up by your feet after a long hike, or leap happily into the car for a spontaneous road trip.Mac is looking for a home that matches his spirit, someone who’s active, outdoorsy, and ready to share life’s adventures with a loyal companion. If you’re searching for a dog who will be your partner in crime, your splash buddy, and your best friend, Mac might be the one.
