In the shelter’s words
Name / Breed / Age: Pharo, Lab mix, Puppy Personality Traits: The Brainy Booper, The Brave Pup, The Athlete Likes / Dislikes: Pharo loves to be held and dislikes being left out of the action. Health and behavior history: Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and will be neutered/spayed prior to adoption. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet!Meet Pharo!!Pharo is a well-rounded, house- and crate-trained pup who’s ready to settle into his forever home. He’s playful, affectionate, and enjoys the company of other dogs and older children. While he hasn’t been tested with cats or very young kids, Pharo has a friendly, easygoing nature. He does best as the only permanent dog in the home, as he loves being the center of attention—often trying to claim the best toys, beds, and snuggle spots for himself.Highly intelligent and eager to please, Pharo responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement, especially verbal praise, affection, and treats. He thrives when he has an outlet for both his energy and his mind. Whether it’s running alongside a bike, exploring new places, or working on a puzzle toy, Pharo is happiest when he’s engaged. His playful personality and unique “parkour” style antics make him as entertaining as he is lovable.Pharo is also continuing to build confidence in new environments, with regular outings helping him improve his social skills. He does experience some mild car sickness, but he’s gradually adjusting with more exposure.

Plan a visit with the source organization
Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions. The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption. Adoption fees are $325 for adults and $375 for puppies. All dogs will be up to date on age appropriate vaccines and spayed / neutered if old enough. If not old enough adopters can come back to our vet to have it covered in fee. It must be done by the time the dog is 6 months old.
