In the shelter’s words

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Beatrice #3 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Beatrice #3 | 3-month-old Lab mix | Your playful little cuddle bug Beatrice is a 3-month-old, 17-pound Lab mix who is everything you would expect from a puppy: playful, friendly, cuddly, and full of puppy energy! She loves toys, especially plush toys, and is always happy to play fetch or romp around with her canine friends. And when we say she loves other dogs, we mean she LOVE, LOVE, LOVES playing with them! She is incredibly social and thrives on having a playful canine buddy. She also has a sweet habit of resting her head on you and loves to sleep right beside you—or sometimes right on your head! Beatrice is doing really well with her house training and is almost there, although her new family should expect that accidents can happen while she adjusts to a new home. She sleeps well through the night and has done well when left home alone for 3–4 hours with another dog in the house. She may whine or bark a little at first when crated, but she settles down with time. She is still very much a puppy and is working on things like play biting, jumping on people, and learning that not everything is a chew toy. She is food motivated, loves toys and affection, and is responding well to structure and boundaries. Beatrice is making great progress with her leash skills. She is fine with cats, and although she hasn't met children yet, we expect her to do well with kids of any age. She has had positive interactions with all the dogs she has met and absolutely adores playing with her resident canine friend. She doesn't seem to have a preference for men or women and is equally happy to make friends with everyone. Beatrice came to us as a stray and is now looking for a family who is ready for all the fun, energy, and learning that comes with a young puppy. Her ideal home would have a yard where she can run and play, along with another confident, playful pup who can be her best friend and help show her the ropes. Her family should be ready to continue working on training, manners, and basic commands. If you're looking for a friendly, playful puppy who loves her canine friends just as much as she loves cuddles, Beatrice may be your girl! If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $475 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 72 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.
