In the shelter’s words

Rocky Road is a calm, independent kitty who likes to do things on her own terms. She’s not a “walk up and demand cuddles” kind of girl — she prefers to let you know when she’s ready for pets. Once she gives the green light, she’s medium‑friendly and enjoys gentle affection, but she still appreciates having a little space to herself. She’s lived with both cats and dogs and does well with them, especially if they respect her boundaries. Around the house, she’s a quiet presence: soft, steady, and easy to live with. And that pom‑pom tail? It’s as adorable as it sounds.Rocky Road was adopted once before and returned through no fault of her own after her family experienced a house fire. She handled the upheaval with grace, and now she’s ready for a fresh start with someone who understands and appreciates an independent spirit. If you’re looking for a low‑key companion who will bond with you in her own thoughtful way, Rocky Road might be your girl.Adoption fee: $75 Apply to adopt at: www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adoptIf you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application.
