In the shelter’s words

Birthdate: 02/23/2025Breed: One of a kindWeight: 35lbsThis sweet boy, Bayne, is all sunshine and smiles—the kind of pup whose big, happy grin lights up every room he walks into. Fittingly, the name Bayne is of English origin and conveys a meaning of joy, a perfect match for his cheerful, positive spirit. He gets so excited for attention, bouncing over for pets and sometimes popping up to steal a quick kiss, just because he can’t contain how much he loves people. He’s always ready to head outside, where his puppy energy really shines. Exploring is his favorite pastime—every smell, sound, and sight is an adventure waiting to happen. He brings an infectious enthusiasm to everything he does, making even the simplest moments feel fun. While he can get a little caught up in the excitement of the world around him, he does check in when you call—turning his full attention back to you with a happy, eager expression. With a little guidance and consistency, he’s going to grow into an amazing, attentive companion. If you’re looking for a joyful, energetic pup with a heart full of love (and a smile that never quits), Bayne is ready to bring endless happiness and adventure into your life. The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire . If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
