Meet Sherley! Sherley is a sweet, lovable girl with a heart full of affection. She adores hugs, scratches, and kisses, soaking up all the love you have to give. Sherley is great with people and thrives in calm, structured households where she doesn’t feel the need to assert dominance or compete for attention. With proper introductions, she can do well with other dogs and is currently kenneled with her friendly pal, Donna. This beautiful girl has been waiting patiently in boarding for her forever family. She loves sunbathing, savoring the warmth of a sunny day, and is content to lounge around and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Sherley isn’t food- or toy-motivated, but she values human engagement, making her a wonderful companion for someone seeking a loving, relaxed pet. While Sherley is still learning appropriate behavior, she is not inherently aggressive—she simply needs guidance and structure to understand what’s expected of her. With the right training and environment, she will thrive as a loyal and affectionate companion. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort.If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation.
