Hi, I’m Oliver! I’m a 2½-year-old guy looking for a special person who understands that some of us need a little extra time to feel comfortable. New environments can be pretty overwhelming for me, and being handled isn’t really my thing just yet. The good news is that I’m making progress! My foster parents have been patient and respectful of my boundaries, and I’m beginning to enjoy some gentle pets. I may still hiss when I feel nervous, but that’s just my way of saying I need a little space. I would thrive in a quiet, low-key home without children or lots of commotion, where I can settle in at my own pace and build trust without pressure. I may not be the kind of cat who greets you with a cuddle right away, but with patience, kindness, and a little understanding, I hope to discover just how wonderful a loving home can be. All household members must attend to meet the dog you're interested in. â Start the Sleepover Period After a successful Meet & Greet, youâll begin a minimum 7-day sleepover to ensure a good fit between you and the dog. â Finalize the Adoption or Return to Rochester Rascals If at any point itâs not the right match, you will return the dog to the foster home. If everyone in your family agrees to move forward with adoption, you'll: Receive a digital adoption contract via email. Complete the paperwork and submit payment. Receive a confirmation email and access the dogâs medical records. Note: adoption fees typically only cover about a third of the actual cost to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome the animals in our care
