Hi Friends! My name is Polly and I am a sweet & adorable gal looking for her forever home I am 10 years old and so excited to finally be a part of a family who will love and adore me just as much as I will love and adore them! My foster family has been taking care of me while I wait for my forever home and here are some things they have to say about me: I cannot hear, but can pick up on cues - like when my leash is being put on, I know it is time for a walk. Speaking of walks, I donât require long walks, but do like a lot of attention! I would do best in a home with a family that is around for most/all of the day, and with a yard where I can happily roam I am house trained, crate-trained, and do well on walks! Occasionally, I may have accidents in the home especially if I have not gone to the bathroom in a few hours, so it is best for me to wear a diaper to be cautious! Some of my favorite things are soft treats and human attention I have not been around children yet, or other smaller animals like cats, but do not get along well with small dogs If introduced very slowly, I have previously gotten along with other dogs that are calm! At my foster familyâs home, I have a foster sibling and get a bit jealous over human affection. Resource guarding is a behavior trait of mine, as you will need to be aware of especially around other dogs! Some medical things to be aware of as well: I have some mobility issues and arthritis in my knees, hips, and spine, so I take medication daily Occasionally, I will wake up in my sleep (perhaps from a bad dream) and howl/cry for about 20 seconds and stop soon after My foster family describes me as low-maintenance (but of course lots of love needed) If you are looking for the sweetest pup to make so happy, you know where to find me! Passion for Pitties is a foster-based pit bull rescue dedicated to finding loving, lifelong homes for dogs in need. Prospective adopters complete an adoption application, provide references, and participate in a screening process to ensure a good match. We conduct a home check (virtual or in-person) and arrange a meet-and-greet when appropriate. Approved adopters sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee, which helps offset the cost of vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter, and other veterinary care. Current adoption fees are $500 for puppies (newborn to 1 year), $300 for adult dogs (1â8 years), $250 for senior dogs (8+ years), and $500 for purebred dogs of any age. Adoption fees are subject to change and may vary based on an individual dog's age, breed, medical needs, or other factors.
