In the shelter’s words
Meet Fate, a charming and captivating feline ready to weave himself into the fabric of your home! This sweet boy is a testament to resilience, having once been a stray, and now he's eager to find his forever family. Fate boasts a delightfully soft coat and a curious spirit that will keep you entertained. He's a real charmer with a mischievous streak, always ready to explore his surroundings. While we're unsure how he'd do with dogs or young children, Fate's gentle nature suggests he'd likely shy away from overly rambunctious behavior, preferring a calm and understanding environment. He has a special fondness for his favorite people, enjoying gentle pets and, like many discerning felines, he's a big fan of tube treats! Fate is also quite the social butterfly when it comes to other cats, loving to make new feline friends. You'll know you've truly earned Fate's trust when he rolls over and asks for those coveted belly rubs – a sure sign of his comfort and affection! Because of his past as a stray, Fate may need a little time and space to acclimate to his new surroundings. But with patience and love, this sweet and resilient boy will surely blossom into a devoted companion. If you're looking for a gentle, curious cat with a soft purr and a special charm, Fate might just be your destiny! Fate is from a local rescue. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
