In the shelter’s words

Meet Cheezit – Certified Goofball, Ultimate Love Bug, and Ladies’ Man Extraordinaire! If charm were a superpower, Cheezit would be unstoppable. This smart, affectionate, endlessly entertaining goofball has been patiently waiting since May 2023 for his forever family—and he’s more than ready to make up for lost time with a lifetime of love. Cheezit is the kind of dog who wins hearts instantly. He has a special fondness for the ladies (both human and canine!) and is known for leaning his whole body into you for affection, soaking up every scratch and cuddle like it’s his favorite hobby. Add in his signature “ladies’ man” grin and wagging tail, and resistance is futile. Beyond the charm and wiggles, Cheezit is brilliant and eager to please. He already knows Sit, Down, Wait, and Watch Me, walks beautifully in his harness, and stays happily tuned in to his person. He thrives on praise, loves learning new things, and will proudly show off his skills for a tasty treat or a kind word. With his focus and enthusiasm, he’s the kind of dog who makes training fun and rewarding. Cheezit is the perfect balance of adventure buddy and cuddle champion. He’s just as happy joining you for a hike or outing as he is curling up on the couch for quality snuggle time. When it comes to dog friends, he prefers confident female dogs and has made plenty of girlfriends at the Ranch. His best pal, Calypso, shares his goofy, high-energy play style—together they zoom, wrestle, and turn every play session into pure joy. Whether you’re looking for a devoted solo companion or a fun-loving addition to a home with a confident female dog, Cheezit is ready to bring laughter, loyalty, and endless affection into your life. Call the Ranch today to meet Cheezit—the golden-hearted goofball who’s guaranteed to steal your heart (and maybe flirt a little while doing it). Read Cheezit’s Dog of the Week post here: https://rrdog.org/dw/meet-cheezit/ Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.
