_________ B I O ______________ Name: Ray Size: ~Medium range: 26-60 lbs Adoption Donation: $250 (applicable sales tax included). Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check. Other:  Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip ** Ray requires daily medication to help manage his anxiety. He is on Fluoxetine 20mg once a day, the cost is about $15 per month and Trazodone 100mg every 8-12 hours. The cost is around $19.00 per month. These medications and doses could change. Ray would love to be your new best friend! Foster Home Feedback 11/2/26 Foster Feedback: Hey there! I finally figured out how to bark-to-text, so my foster human is letting me type my own bio! I’m Ray, and honestly, I’m basically a giant ray of sunshine wrapped in a big puppy body. I don't have a mean bone in my body, though I do have a tail with a mind of its own. Seriously, I love following my humans from room to room so much that my tail thumps against the doorframes like a heavy-metal drum solo. You will literally never lose me in the house. I just LOVE you so much and I LOVE to follow you everywhere you go! Did I mention that I love you? Oh, right, I'm supposed to be telling you about myself! Sometimes I have a hard time staying calm and focused so my foster mom says I am kind of like Dory from Finding Nemo. To be completely real with you, my brain runs super fast!! But hey, my daily meds and a solid routine are helping my brain realize that having an "off switch" and taking power naps is actually pretty awesome. And I get my medicine in this yummy peanut butter treat sandwich so I don't mind taking it. I am still learning that I don't always have to be on high alert and while I am still adjusting to hanging out with my foster humans on the couch, I am learning that it's ok and resting helps my brain feel better! Plus, they watch some funny TV shows. Foster mom says it's time to start watching holiday movies...whatever that means as long as I get to lay on the couch pillow next to her! I've been working super hard on my manners! I used to be a bit too mouthy when playing with other dogs, but I’ve gotten a tiny better at reading my foster siblings’ body cues when they tell me "dude, chill." I’m also walking better on a leash, I ride like a total champ in the car, and I actually love hanging out in my kennel. I will happily rest in there during the night or while the foster humans are at work (8-9 hours). They tell me that I am a really good boy which makes me so happy because I just want to make people happy! As far as tricks go, I’m practically ready for Harvard Paw School. I’ve already mastered sit, down, leave it, and shake, and I’m currently putting my last two brain cells together to learn the touch command. When I’m off the clock, my absolute favorite hobbies are playing for as long as my doggy roomies will tolerate me, entertaining myself with toys, and crunching on ice cubes like they’re gourmet delicacies. Sometimes I do get into mischief but hey, I'm still a big puppy and just trying to learn what this whole "living in a house" deal is. I’m still very much a puppy at heart, so I’m looking for a patient human who will keep up with my training and celebrate all my big wins with me. If you’re ready for endless love, a few good laughs, and a lifetime supply of tail-thumping joy, come meet me! My foster mom says that I have really cute wrinkles on my face and I even let her paint my nails last week for Halloween! I am ready for my fur-ever home and I hope you will apply to adopt me. I promise I will make you giggle! I know I have a lot of energy but life is just SO exciting! 10/11/26 Temporary Care Feedback: Meet Ray, a 1-year-old, 50-pound bundle of love who is 100% convinced he is a tiny lap puppy—and that every dog he meets is an interactive chew toy! Ray recently took a 4-day kennel break, and his foster family reports that he is all gas, absolutely no brakes! He is goofy, uncoordinated, ridiculously sweet, and powered by pure joy and adrenaline. Here’s the breakdown on this lovable, enthusiastic wrecking ball: The "Pawsitives": Potty Trained Champion: Zero accidents! (Just let him go solo so he doesn't try to play tag instead of doing his business). Crate & Apartment Approved: Kennels on command, stays clean for 8 hours, and his brief, quiet whines won't annoy the neighbors! Plus, barky neighborhood dogs don't phase him one bit. Smart & Snack-Motivated: Knows sit, shake, and lay down, and is currently working on leave it. Car Ride Enthusiast: Travels like a dream passenger. He won't complain about getting a pup cup on the way to your next adventure! Big lovable guy: Ray's wrinkly face will MELT your heart. The "Work in Paw-gress": Mouthy Play Style: Ray is Obsessive Chew Disorder personified when it comes to dog friends. He doesn’t just play; he wants to chew on his canine buddies' necks and faces! He needs a home willing to supervise dog interactions and physically redirect him when his friends say "give me a break." Looking for his "Off" Switch: Ray does not know what a nap is. His foster had to enforce "place" quiet time to help him decompress, so he needs a human who will help him practice settling down. High Energy & Mouthy: He loves a good game of structured tug, but he can get a mouthy with hands when amped up. Because he's a 50lb puppy with zero brakes, a home without small children is best! Ray is a big, lovable goofball who is his own worst enemy sometimes, but underneath all that energy is a heart of absolute gold. With routine, structure, and a patient adopter who can teach him some doggy personal space, Ray is going to be an incredible best friend. Ray is looking for an adopter that will continue with training and keep up with this high energy goofball. Ready for a lifetime of laughs and endless love? Apply to adopt Ray today!
