In the shelter’s words

Meet Kate, the gorgeous white rabbit. Kate came into the Shelter as a stray so we don’t know much about her life before now. A good Samaritan was working on his car in his driveway when Kate just hopped towards him. He held onto her for a few days to try to find a guardian but was unsuccessful. Kate has been a social butterfly since her arrival. She would likely do well in a variety of homes. Any introductions to other animals should be done in a slow, thoughtful manner. To keep Kate safe and incorporate her as part of your family, Kate is looking to be an indoor companion. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
