In the shelter’s words

Meet Tia Tia is a young cat, estimated to be between 1–3 years old, with a gentle spirit and a thoughtful way of moving through the world. She may take a little time to settle in and feel safe in new environments, but once she does, her true personality begins to shine. Personality Tia is: Initially a bit reserved in new situations Deeply affectionate once she feels comfortable Social and gentle with both people and other animals Calm, sweet, and emotionally intuitive She isn’t the kind of cat who rushes into new relationships—but she is the kind who forms real, lasting bonds once trust is established. With Time Once Tia feels secure, she transforms into a loving and connected companion. She enjoys being near her people, engaging in quiet affection, and sharing space with other friendly animals. She does especially well when she has consistent, calm companionship around her. Ideal Home A patient home that understands shy-to-social transitions A calm environment without too much chaos or pressure Possibly another friendly cat for confidence and companionship People willing to let her come forward at her own pace Tia is a soft, steady presence who doesn’t ask for immediate attention—but offers something much deeper in return: trust that grows over time, and affection that is genuine, grounded, and full of heart. Tia would do best in a home that has another cat as she is used to cat companionship in her foster home.
