In the shelter’s words
This beautiful 10 month old, per the vet’s guess, girl is Vittoria, a 60-lb Great Pyrenees mix who is ready to find her forever family! Vittoria is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. She loves having fun, but she’s also a total cuddle bug who would happily snuggle up with her people. Vittoria is good with other dogs, great with kids, house trained, crate trained, great in the car, good on the leash, and knows basic commands. She’s a wonderful young girl who would love a family that will give her all the love, attention, and adventures she deserves. She has so much love to give and is ready to be someone’s very best friend.

Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
