In the shelter’s words
Meet Woodford (lovingly known as Woody)! Woody is a handsome pup with a sweet personality and a heart full of love. This affectionate boy is ready to find a family who will continue helping him grow into the amazing dog he is meant to be.Woody is neutered and has mastered his potty training. He is still working on his leash manners, but with consistency and positive reinforcement, he is eager to learn. He does great with other dogs and absolutely loves kids, making him a wonderful companion for a family ready for some fun puppy energy! This sweet boy loves affection and is always happy to soak up attention. Some of Woody’s favorite things include food, walks, spending time with kids, and getting those irresistible tummy rubs. He has the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and a loving, cuddly side.Like many young dogs, Woody is still learning about the world around him. He is not a fan of crates or car rides yet, so his new family should be patient and willing to help him build confidence with these things at his own pace.Woody would thrive in an active home that can keep him busy with walks, playtime, training, and plenty of love. He may benefit from having another friendly dog in the home to show him the ropes and keep him company. A family willing to provide structure, guidance, and continued training will help Woody become the best version of himself. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful pup who will fill your days with love, laughter, and lots of tail wags, Woody may be your perfect match! Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 11-3 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Plan a visit with the source organization
If a particular pooch has caught your eye or if youâre searching for a new furry family member, take a few minutes to complete our online adoption application or stop by our Adoption Events to visit with our adoptable pups. Our application review team will contact you as they process your application and check with your references. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received, but our primary responsibility is to find the best home for each individual dog and the best match for you and your family regardless of application order. We want to see that every animal and family are well-suited as a forever match. Our adoption fees vary by the animalâs age and specific breed. All adopted dogs will receive vaccinations against distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus, as well as flea/tick treatments and de-worming. Dogs who are too young to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies will receive vouchers to one of our local veterinary partners. Please contact us with any additional questions! We are available by phone at 847-566-6799, through our website, or through direct messaging on Facebook. Weâre happy to answer any questions and work with you as you search for your new family member!
