In the shelter’s words
Meet Salem , your future best friend and resident Fall Fashion Icon! Superpower: High-level intelligence paired with maximum sass Core Philosophy: "You can never, EVER have too many toys." Fall Vibe Curator & Outdoors Enthusiast If autumn were a pup, it would be Salem. While other dogs are chasing balls, Salem is out here living her best autumnal life. Her daily agenda includes: Leaf Crunching: Highly dedicated to finding the absolute crunchiest leaves in the yard. Sunbathing: Soaking up every single ray of sunshine like a solar-powered diva. Stick Hunting: On a tireless quest to find the ultimate stick (she has high standards). Wardrobe Enthusiast: Unlike most dogs who act like sweaters are a punishment, Salem leans into the fashion. Plaid, cozy knits, tiny hoodies—she rocks them all with main-character energy. ✨ Social Life & Skills Co-Pilot Extraordinaire in Training: Doesn’t seem to mind car rides! She may even start to love them once she discovers what pup cups are! Social Butterfly: Gets along great with her foster dog siblings and knows not to bother the resident feline. (In fact, they’re cool.) Crate & Potty Training: Does not have accidents in her crate. Might whine a little at first but adjusts quickly. She’s working really hard on making sure all potty breaks happen outdoors! She’s a work in progress, but she’s getting closer every day. ⚡ Energy Level: Full Zoomies: A glorious, high-speed blur around the yard to burn off her toddler energy. Cuddling: Immediately crashing into your lap to recharge for the next zoomie session. Stage 5 Clinger: No way! She loves being around people and other animals, but she also has no problem being independent and keeping herself entertained. Is Salem the one for you ❓ If you love cozy autumn aesthetics, doggy wardrobe changes, and a smart, sassy girl who will keep you laughing 24/7, Salem is your girl! Available 11/5. Adoption Fee $600. Fenced yard required for off leash playtime.

When someone inquires on one of our dogs, we request completion of the adoption application. The application is reviewed and approved or denied. Meets are scheduled for approved adopters either at the foster parents home or adopters home. If the decision to adopt is made at that time but the animal is not ready (spay/neuter pending) a deposit is taken to hold the dog until ready for adoption. At the time of the adoption, the agreement is signed, education is provided, first month of heartworm and flea prevention is given, and payment/remaining payment taken. All of our dogs receive a physical exam, spay/neuter, vaccinations appropriate for age, dewormer, heart worm test (if over 6 mo of age) & microchip prior to adoption. The adoption fee ranges from $250 to $400. With an approved application, a 50% non-refundable deposit may be provided to hold a dog until all vetting is complete. Home visits and vet references will be performed prior to adoption. Fenced yards and single family homes are required for most of our dogs.
