In the shelter’s words

6/6/2026Bo II is an owner surrender looking for a new home.Hi! My name is Bo II! I am a handsome 7-8 year old boxer boy that is an owner surrender due to being found and my current caretakers are unable to keep me. I am described as friendly, calm, playful, affectionate, quiet, and obedient! There is a chihuahua and a beagle in my home and I can be intimidating to them when having the zoomies, but I am calm and do not bother them. It is unknown if I have lived with a cat so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly. There are no kids in my home but there is a 30 year old quadapalegic boy and I follow him around and gently stand on my hind legs to greet him and allow him to pet me. I also had exposure to multiple adults when my caretakers had a small gathering and I was kind and quiet with everyone. I am house trained but would need assistance crate training if that's required in my forever home. At night I sleep on a dog bed and it is unknown how I will react if the humans must be away because they currently work from home. When outside I have good behavior and do not currently jump fences/gates. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, playing with a ball, running zoomies, receiving affection, lounging on the sofa, and taking naps! If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!

Plan a visit with the source organization

The Process to adopt a dog through Austin Boxer Rescue is as follows: Fill out an Online Adoption Application below. Your application will be reviewed and sent to a volunteer in your area. The volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit within one week. Normally, a volunteer would come to your house for a home visit, but until further notice, visits are being done virtually. After your home visit is complete and you are approved you can begin meeting dogs. The Adoption Coordinator will assist you in this process.
