In the shelter’s words

Meet Hansen — From Death Row to Mountain Life ️ Meet Hansen, a gorgeous black Pittie mix whose story came incredibly close to ending before it ever had the chance to begin. Hansen was sitting in a high-kill California shelter with just ONE DAY left. One more day and this beautiful boy wouldn't have made it out. Mountain Mama Pyrs & Pups couldn't let that happen. ❤️ We brought Hansen to the mountains, gave him his second chance, and now he is THRIVING! Hansen is about 1 year old, fully vetted, and simply a good boy. He's handsome, happy, affectionate, and ready to put his shelter days behind him for good. Other dogs: Yes! Hansen does well with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine buddy. Cats: That's going to be a NO. Hansen thinks cats are meant for chasing, so this kiddo needs a cat-free home. Fully vetted: Yes! Age: About 1 year ❤️ Personality: Sweet, social, playful & loving Hansen has already beaten the odds once. Now he needs the one thing we can't give him ourselves — a forever family. He was just one day away from losing everything, and now he has an entire lifetime ahead of him. We want that lifetime to be filled with adventures, belly rubs, doggie friends, soft beds and people who will never let him wonder if he's safe again. If you've been looking for a handsome, happy young companion who is ready to LIVE the life he almost didn't get, Hansen is waiting for you. ️ Apply to adopt Hansen and show this beautiful boy just how wonderful a second chance can be.
