In the shelter’s words
COURTESY LISTING - Please contact person below with inquiries. ~1.5 years old. Good with kids. Not good with dogs. Cats TBD. Vanessa Lundy Fayetteville, NC vanessazlundy@gmail.com 570-790-9282 Date Posted: 01/28/25 Jagger is a working line Silver Sable German Shepherd. He was adopted a few months ago from Cumberland County Animal Shelter. He’s far from aggressive towards humans, but my previous dog who is a German Shepherd mix male around the same age, and he doesn’t get along with him. The shelter had to do an inspection to make sure they get along, and they usually do but lately the fighting has gotten dangerous. And I'd be putting them both at risk by keeping him. Last thing I want is to put him back in shelter. He went from being a stray to homeless. And it just wouldn’t be fair to him PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.

Plan a visit with the source organization
We require an application to be filled out on our website - http://gsdrescue.org/index.html After the application is submitted a Vet Check, Phone Interview, and Home Visit are required to receive approval for adoption. Once approval is granted then the applicant and a GSD match is made then a trial will take place (usually 1 week). The adoption fee is $300 and an adoption contract is required at the time of the trial.
