In the shelter’s words
Meet Dame – A Royal Name with a Heart of Gold! She may have a royal title, but Dame is more playful princess than proper lady! This sweet girl can be a little cautious around new visitors, preferring to observe her kingdom before making her grand entrance. But once she gets to know you, her affectionate personality begins to shine!Dame loves playtime, especially chasing feather wands with her brother. Lord may be the more competitive player, but when Dame catches that feather, it's her moment to shine! She proudly claims her prize and enjoys every second of her victory. When she's not playing, Dame is all about the finer things in life: pets, brushings, treats, and FOOD! She's become a bit of a lap cat, happily hopping up for affection and a good brushing when the mood strikes. She's still a little nervous about being picked up, but she's perfectly happy to enjoy love and attention on her own terms. A Dame and her Lord belong together! Dame is bonded with her brother, Lord, and these two royal siblings must be adopted together. They may not always act like royalty, but they certainly know how to keep their kingdom entertaining!Dame isn't asking for a grand palace. Just a cozy forever home with someone to snuggle beside, plenty of toys, delicious treats, and all the love her little heart deserves.Ready to welcome this royal duo into your castle? Dame and Lord are waiting for their happily ever after!

Plan a visit with the source organization
Want to find a special someone to join your family? You've come to the right place. Adopt locally with us for the benefit of our community. All you need to do is fill out an adoption form and we will find a purrfect match for your family. All of our rescues are: examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated up to date, all cats are FIV/FELV tested, dogs are Heartworm tested if age appropriate, dewormed, spayed/neutered when age appropriate and treated with flea/tick product, if needed. They also are all microchipped when they are spayed/neutered. Once an application is completed & approved to move forward - we would set up a time for you to come and meet them in their foster home where they are comfortable. If everyone feels it is a good match for everyone, we would then schedule a home visit (required) prior to adoption. We also require a non refundable deposit of $50 per pet prior to a home visit. (To be applied toward adoption donation.) Adoption Fees* (Cats): $135 for a cat/kitten Adoption Fees* (Dogs): $500 for a puppy (under 1 year of age) $400 for an adult dog *There may be a special rate for adopting a bonded pair! Ask us for details!
