In the shelter’s words
Meet Amy Poehler, an 8-year-old sweetheart who recently found herself in a bit of a plot twist. Surrendered through no fault of her own, Amy is understandably a little cautious in new places. She may hide at first, but just walk into the room and the purrs begin! Before long, she'll come out to say hello, rub against you, or settle beside you for some well-deserved pets, like a warm blanket on a chilly evening. Her adorable pink nose and beautiful green eyes, the color of the last leaves clinging to the trees, are hard to resist, but her affectionate personality is what will really steal your heart.Amy enjoys a little wand-toy play and loves her catnip toys, but mostly she just wants to be near her person. After so many changes, she'll need a patient adopter who will let her adjust and blossom on her own timeline, just like the changing seasons. A cozy home with someone around to keep her company would be ideal. She hasn't been tested with other animals yet, but may enjoy a feline friend.Basically, Amy is looking for a comfy couch, a favorite human, some catnip, and absolutely no more unexpected plot twists. Give her a little time and patience, and this sweet girl will be ready to make herself right at home, with a mug of cider in your hand and a purring cat in your lap.Amy Poehler is FeLV/FIV negative, up to date with vaccinations, flea treated, microchipped, and spayed. Her birthday is estimated to be around 9/15/2018.
