In the shelter’s words
Katniss is interviewing homes to find the right place to land. She enjoys spending time talking to her person while trying to convince them she needs extra pets and treats. She enjoys coffee with her foster mom because she gets to lick some of the whipped cream first. She does well with friendly, non aggressive cats. Plan a visit with the source organization
We have an application that must be filled out including a vet reference and non-relative references. A 24 hour hold on the application allows the ARC volunteer to call references and follow up with any questions for the potential adopter. A home visit may be scheduled at this point. If the person is approved, they must sign a contract. An adoption fee is required, however this may be waived in special circumstances. If for any reason in the future they can no longer take care of the pet, the animal must be returned to ARC.
Confirm availability, fees and the meeting address before traveling.
